1989 340 Sundancer I have a few questions regarding our windlass Model#CFD Ser#12277.
When operating up and down sounds like gears are not meshing properly and when applying resistance by pulling on the rope when switch is in up position doesn't seem to pull very hard.
We are new to the boat and am curious what needs to be done. It says its free fall but not much pulling power when operating switch in up position. I see there is an oil filler fitting on the port side I will check level when at the boat next. Any help much appreciated Steve.
