Replacing belts on cat 3216s. Bracket holding synchonizer cable to small flex drive had to come off. After removing the bracket I can see a warning label...now they tell me! It warns that bracket can only be re installed with use of special Glendinning alignment tool or serious damage will result. Good news is tool is only about ten bucks, bad news is synchonizer does not come with it and online instructions are vague and no you tubes found.
Has anyone here experience with this?
Thank you.

OMG...yes it does!! Thank you! Wasnt able to print it out but instructions were very clear. Thank you again!
This site is amazing. Would like to hear from others if everyone does the alignment with every belt change.

The tool is invaluable, and makes the alignment a breeze. The serious damage is that if the coupler is off center, it will wobble and quickly wear out the shaft or the 45 angle. All of its realively inexpensive to replace, but easier to just align right the first time.

Get new couple shafts from Glendinning while your getting the tool and that should make you good for a while.

Mission accomplished! The people at Glendinning were also very helpful. The was less thsn ten bucks and with two day ship got here in three days, which is good for us. It was a simple task with tool. Btw they recommend using a thinner grease like molybdenum (sp?). The instructions from RandR were perfect.
Thank you all!
