I've never had my boat broken into (knock on Teak), however it's nice to see some justice. Although there would be the feeling of being violated, like when your home is burglarized, I believe it would be overshadowed by how pissed off I would be.
Now I don't carry $20K of fishing equipment, and I fresh water fish and troll, but if you figure tackle, rods & reels as well as electronics, I'm still in the $1-2K plus, that has taken me years to accumulate. If you add things up with decent ocean rigs, that $20k number probably isn't far off for most offshore saltwater fisherman.

Bastards.

The worst part of boating is worrying about your stuff (nod to George Carlin) on the boat when you're home. And worrying about your stuff at home when you're on the boat!

Aw, c'mon man. I think they should go easy on those kids. Heck, they probably were molested or abused as kids and skipped school and did other stuff.

I would suggest a punishment such as using them for bait. Start with their feet and cut them off. Once the feet have been chewed up cut off their hands and use those. Then work they way to the body core. Pretty soon they'd learn to stay away from boats.

With no arms or legs they might have to change their names to "Matt"!!!

Since they're in water, it would be "Bob."

Someone broke into our Marina about three years ago and shot some boats. Really they took the time to break in to just shoot some holes into the boats, My boat made it unscathed but one guys Sundancer had a hole in the side you could see through and a seat that resemble swiss cheese.
