New here, first post!
Have a 1972 SRV220 W/888 Mercruiser.
Have a water leak at the gimbal housing water supply tube.
Pulled off the water hose that runs along the starboard side of engine to the t-stat housing just above water pump.
There is an adaptor/reducer on the copper tube that fits inside the hose that runs to the t-stat.
Looks like the gimbal tube needs a 5/8" hose to go over it and the be large enough to fit inside the other hkse. Approx 1 1 /8" .
This life it dry rotting and cracked causing my leak.
Any idea where to get this 'adaptor' or 'bushing'?
P!ease help need to get on the water.

I have 2 73s and dont think I see what your talking about

No sir.
It is leaking at the water intake supply tube.
Opposite end for the t-stat housing.

It's been a day or 2 but I remember the last time I came across this I had to get some 1 1/8" rubber rod stock (McMaster-Carr) and drill a 5/8" hole to get it done. I never could find a listing for the part from Mercruiser and it isn't part of the hose part number.

Thanks for the reply.
My buddy and I were thinking the exact same thing!
Thanks to everyone, I appreciate the help.
