gimbal ring quick fix for alpha 1 drive

Hi,
I hear that you can temporarly fix a alpha 1 gimball ring(excessive play wi) by installing a set screw into the upper pin.It didnt say how durable it was.Id like any feed back on this idea. thanks,

not a good idea, way to much stress in that area to go messing around with a set screw which would weaken the system
