I removed both sterndrives, and was feeling the bearings. I noticed on both of the drives bearings just behind them is a gap that has what feels like some o-rings that are loose. The space seems to be about 1/4 of an inch. Is this normal? I put grease in the filler nipple to make sure the gimbal was installed correctly, and the greese does flood into the bearing as expected.

Thanks!

yes, there r 2 big foam type round gaskets.,...if u cant get grease in those bearings, dont proceed...u have not lined up the grease hole,in the outer race,w/the zrk discharge....
