I know I have seen this addressed here before but I cannot find the thread. All of my electrical outlets on the boat are dead. There are no other anomalies and it has worked just fine up until this weekend when we went to plug something in. I'm guessing a GFI breaker popped somewhere. Is there a GFI breaker on the boat somewhere? There are no GFI breakers on the plugs themselves and I haven't been able to locate one on the boat. Help! My wife won't go back out on the boat unless she can charge her cell phone!

Thanks,

Larry Lonero

There is usually one on each side of the boat. Look in the head, under the mirror, or wherever there is a horizontal surface that the plug is facing down. It's made that way to keep moisture out. On the other side of the boat, it is probably in a cabinet, perhaps over the sofa, depending on your layout. Don't forget that there is a breaker inside your rear locker, where your shore power plugs in. Or....you may not want your wife back on the boat. Your call. Good luck, Don

Larry, it would seem odd that you blew both sides of the boat GFI's at the same time.....

Mark-

I kind of thought the same thing. I thought it would be odd that the entire boat would be wired to one GFI. However, there is no breaker popped on the main board in the engine compartment. I don't know of any other breakers or switches that control the outlets.

Larry I have a similar issue in my new to me 05 420 and its the cockpit port plug that is behind the door below when its open. I found the gfi plug in the master port head and there is also on in the starboard galley cabinet forward. None of mine are tripped but i have no power to this plug - its so weird.... I expected to find one of the tripped and no biggie - i even changed the gfi plug just in case it had gone bad, after they trip a couple of times they stop "resetting" No joy for me!!

Let me know what you find.....

Well I wish you had better news for me, Chris. I will be back on the boat later this week and will let you know what I find. Thanks, Larry.

I have a GFI in the end of a very slider cabinet just above the salon sofa. It's all the way forward in the very front of the cabinet just below the Windows.
