Wow thats makes sense,dc shouldn't shock me, it could be my converter leak in the AC through thanks, I'll have to try it again sometime turn my converter off and see if it still shocks me

Is that the equivalent of sticking your fingers in a 110 outlet?? Note: not recommended. I'd use as voltmeter - positive to the boat neg to a ground.
