I grew up on big sport-fishers and have recently trialed just about everything before settling on our new 330. The V-drives are great for saltwater and I probably wouldn't leave an I/O in saltwater period. However, I/Os seem to drive much nicer at anything above trolling speed insofar as handling and acceleration. I was kind of stunned at how "dead" the new 350 Coupe with V-drives felt steering and handling as well as acceleration.
