Georgetown area rondevous interest

Don't we have anymore planning to do? Doesn't anyone have any more sarcastic comments? I wonder where Paul is.

16 days.

Other than I hope it rains on you all since I can't make it:smt089:smt089:smt089

Just kidding hope you all have a great time and take plenty of pictures.

[I wonder if that's a message to cut back on the rhetoric.
I have been trying real hard to sound intelligent, and real serious, hopeing that we would attract some sophisticated folk on dis trip!!

[ . Nicky must be working for a change haven't seen him on this week.
I understand that its hard for some on this sight to comprehend, BUT SOME OF US DO HAVE TO WORK in order to have these holes in the water in which we throw money!

Nicky, I'm afraid I've scared off all the intelligent and sophisticated people already.

I found out that it wasn't our rhetoric that stopped my instant email for subscribed threads. It was my stupidity, in forgetting to update my email address after my ISP changed it. I even asked Wes what was wrong and he asked Jim. 'Bout that time, it hit me.

Sadler I'm glad that you got that issue solved. I need to go to school on some of the workings of this site. I have trouble with some of the simple things.
Now maybe we can keep this thread in the New posts--24 Hours.

Every thing is right on schedule. It will be ready for GT. Also I will bring my camper enclouser.LOL

Lets move this subject to a new, more definitively titled thread. So it will no longer look like just an "interest". Nicky...any intelligent sounding words? How bout something like: "Carolina Gang" 2009 Georgetown Rondevous. I will start off with dates and tentative course as suggested earlier and will need yall to keep it going over the next week. I can work on things more after that and will try to upload some INTELLIGENT looking maps/coordinates. :) Or maybe we could bribe Chuck into the maps since he is so good at it and that could be in exchange for keeping his spot in the gang. Lol

That will work, we consider Chuck an official member, he's just absent on the trips. As Chuck say's (GRIN)

I have talked with the admiral and tonights thought is, drum roll please...

We thought since we are the itsy bitsy boat and Chuck seems to want to get us wet we would drive to Charleston Friday and mess around. Saturday morning we would get up to launch the boat planning to arrive in Gerogetown say little before noon. We might wake Sadler if he anchors out and has too hard of night.

At Georgetown we could meet up with ya'll and mess around for the day. We would dock at Hazard or another marina for the night and return to Charleston Sunday morning.

We decided Myrtle Beach was too long of a ride for one night and then have to ride back to Charleston, load and be back in Greenville Sunday no later than 6pm. We have not made reservations yet. Sadler are you going to go halfway and anchor out for the night? We would like to go to the lighthouse. While we are at it we also would like to see what real boaters do when they anchor out.

Just let me know how I can help.

How's this for an overview map.

Paul, Nicky and I talked about leaving Thursday afternoon, and anchoring half way to Georgetown, and meandering (that's piddlin' up the river Nicky) into Georgetown Friday. I think if we don't do that, we'd be leaving Friday after lunch sometime. There is a nice anchor spot about halfway to Georgetown, so I was looking for an excuse to anchor part way, but if we leave Friday, we'd skip the midway stop and drive straight through to make the dinner in Georgetown Friday night with Kes and Jay. Paul, would any of that work for you and Jane?

And, I'm very flexible. Whatever works for the most people is fine with me. I'm just looking forward to being on the water with everyone.

Do yall have any plans yet? I read the rhetortic so far. Will it work to meet yall Saturday. I probably need to work on reservations if this will work out.

The best that I can recall is we will spend the night (fri) in the GT area. Tour around the rivers and harbor. The last that I remember BF was out the door. But I think its open to any sugestions.
Sadler and i have discused leaveing Charleston thurs or fri. (work pending) and possibly makeing a long week end, but all this is subject to change. GT sat is a definate. So i think you will be safe to make a reservation in GT. Hope this helps.
