Hello,
New boat to me, going on about 2 months and loving the boat. 2005 Sedan Bridge 550.
There seems to be a question on proper start up of the generator. This set up is new to me. I attached a picture of the generator switches. Looking for what should be the proper procedure. It seems to take me a few try's to get it started. Your help and advice is appreciated.

They put the same panel on every Sea Ray. On a diesel boat like your I would:
1- On
2- Preheat for 20 sec (Cool start)
3- Start (crank)
No need for blowers
Gas Gen:
1- Blowers on for 5 mins or more
2- 0n
3- Start
Gas engine doesn't have glows. Hitting preheat will do nothing.

On mine you have to press preheat to crank the motor along with pressing start.

Every time I hit preheat I hear my electric fuel pump kick on so I don’t think it’s entirely useless on a gas gen.

Agreed. It doesn’t preheat, but does like to turn over for a few seconds, then on the second press it fires right up.

Put the on switch to the on position.
Press the top of the preheat start button and hold until the engine starts.
Release the button.
