Recently purchased a 1988 340 Sundancer. When I first started the generator (Onan) the volts read 120 and generator sounded good. Afer about 1 minute the votls dropped to 50 - 60 and generator slowed down making a putt-putt sputtering sound. Someone looked at it and said he saw gas shooting into the card, he thought it could be a valve problem. Does this sound right? Any suggestions?
