I know from pros that using color patches never gives 100% results
Even using factory sea ray gelcoat it is almost imposible to have perfect finish (especialy blue color is a problem)

My patch is on a pearl colored hull, and after using some rubbing compound and polish with my buffer I got it to match almost perfectly. If you get real up close 3-4" away from it, you can see it. A-ok in my book! I'll always know its there, but I'll have to live with it. That or spend the $250 the dealer wants to repair it and that money can be better spent on gas!

pearl is almost white in sea rays book:)
give it few weeks and it will look like rest of the boat

That's good news.

If you can't see it, you'll forget about it.

Next time you wouldn't hasitate to tackle a scratch.

I'm trying to decide if I want to try fixing a friends new 340DA that rested against a exposed bolt at a pier. The hull is pewter. The marina wants big $ to fix....
