I wish I had a picture but I have a 240DA and in the last two years I have had the gelcoat crack off, after someone tagged me, on the back of my boat. The spot is on the swim platform where the ladder is. There is an indentation for a grab bar to get on the boat and a corner on both sides of the bar. As I said I have been hit twice in two years and the gelcoat break off down to the fiberglass. Originally it was a void that was fixed by Searay but the void is gone.
I was thinking about haveing a peice of Stainless fabricated to fit in that spot so that when someone hits me there(happens when some one pulls to close and their bow drops on top of the platform).
Any thoughts?
Yes, I will try to stop other boats from hitting me. So no need to comment about that.
