If your gauges are starting to fail, or just have cracked lenses, I highly recommend GaugeSaver in Green Cove Springs, Florida.

They saved my Smartcraft Tach with multi-function LCD/ and troll control. It had been acting very strange, intermittently, without any rhyme or reason. Totally blank one day, missing pixells the next. Then it would work for a few hours before going squirrely again.

Eric at GaugeSaver was great. He took the time to help diagnose it via emailed pictures, and he was correct about the cause. I sent my tach to them and as he suspected, the microchip that runs the LCD was getting flaky, so they put in a new one, paired with a new LCD, at a very reasonable cost.

It works as good as new now, and it is 15 years old!

If you have any Yamaha outboards, they make sun covers for the digital gauges for 5 bucks!! You can find those on Ebay and Amazon. If you get your gauge LCDs redone, they usually throw a cover in with the repair too.
Good people, fast turnaround.
