So everything was working fine a week ago, today I noticed my Speed and Trim Guages are no longer working. They don't show any readings, needle just sits at the bottom. I checked fuses (didn't see any specific to the gauges) and everything looks ok. Any idea where to start troubleshooting? It's a 2011 250 SLX, with the Mercery "smart" Guages, although the ones malfunctioning are the standard analog gauges. Thanks!!

Which gauges you have on your dash. Which one is the SC? Tacho?

In addition, assume your 'analog' are linked with the so called Systemlink... If you have several gauges, but at one moment two stopped working, maybe issue with the link.

Above you see how my gauges are connected. The tacho is linked with the SC connector. The other gauges are linked together (serie) and linked with the systemlink from the harness. Normal the systemlink connectors are 'locked', but maybe first check if still the case of wire is damaged.

Thanks, Robert! I'll take a look at the systemlink harness and connecting wires.

To answer your first questions... My gauges are fuel (analog -- working, or so it appears), Speedometer (analog -- not working), Tach (analog w/ SC digital at the bottom -- working), Trim (analog -- not working).

Your "analog" gauges aren't really analog. They're simply a secondary display for the digital readout in your SC gauge. Meaning, they simply show what the SC gauge tells it to. If your SC gauge's speed and trim are showing properly, then there's either a connection issue between the SC gauge and the so-called analog gauge or the analog gauge is DOA. If the SC gauge doesn't show speed or trim, then the SC gauge either needs to be reset or there's a sensor/wiring issue (pitot could also be plugged if the speedo is showing 0). There is information on resetting the SC gauge in your manual - I never remember myself without looking.

Correct, none of gauges is analog, that's why I used 'analog'..didn't want to confuse too much :)

Master reset is press + and - buttons simultaneously for approx. 10 sec and confirm with MODE/SELECT. Note that you will loss all your (historical) data and need also to calibrate again.. Here you can find some additional documents (bottom right): https://www.mercurymarine.com/en/us/gauges-and-controls/gauges-displays/digital-sc100-sc1000/

As Lazy Daze suggested, first check if the data is received on the Tach....

I knew what you meant by writing analog within the quotes. I was merely restating it for further clarification/reinforcement for Hagel's benefit. Any maybe just to explain the same thing in a different way.

That's all the master reset is? Crap, I don't know why I can't remember that! :smt101

Thanks guys! I plan on going up Friday to take a look. My SC digital readout doesn't have an area for speed, but I'll cycle through and check to see if the trim is displaying correctly there.
