So this is weird!? Went out for a short ride, (15 minutes) and anchored. Shut the boat down. Relaxed in the sun, and started the boat and all my analog gauges are not working? (RPM's, Engine Temp, Oil Pressure, ect) Basically the whole dash on my 2005 340 Dancer is out... The smart craft, chart plotter, and radio all work. Engines work, and everything is in order, except the gauges.....

Any thoughts??? :smt021:huh:

You may want to remove your dashboard and you will see the gauges are plugged into a grey box (Smartcraft hub) and unplug them, count to 10, and replug them in. I know I have done this before with my SmartCraft gauges when they don't come online. Quick fix.

Same symptom here last weekend. I was running overnight on one battery. My old battery charger damaged it, so it got below 10v. I turned the switch to both, and the engine started, but I had no gauges at all. My GPS has a voltage display, and I saw that it was reading 11.1v. I turned the switch to the good battery by itself and got 13v. Engine started right up. Gauges worked.

That sorta jives with what wingatesi just said. Voltage issue.

Removing the SmartCraft panel, four screws, (and not the gauges dash) and removing the two connector plugs for ten seconds (more like 30) worked. Turned ignition off before I did it. Actually cycled the ignition switches on and off while unplugged, which really should have done nothing to the disconnected Smartcraft box. Reconnected the plugs, turned on the ignition switches and the gauges were back on. Kind a like rebooting your router I guess. Thanks!!

I have a 48' Sea Ray with similar problem. Flip toggle to on for port and starboard and no reaction on my 4 big gauges (2 for tach and 2 are 4-in-1). I can start up both engines and then my digital readouts work and give me water temp, rpms, oil press, etc.) But still nothing on my main gauges. I have Cummins diesels. Any ideas?? Thanks
