I am thinking of switching my 340 from gas to diesel. Has anyone done this and what is the approx cost. Just wondering if I will get economy out of cost.

About 10 years ago I looked into doing this on a 370DA. At the time it would have been about 80-100K including engines, transmissions, genset, new shafts, props, controls, instruments, synchronizer, reconfiguring the fuel tanks and installing with new engine mounts, etc. I ended up trading in the boat.

I did look my post in this forum
I got a prety good price on the engine and it is the best thing I ever do. Cost me 1\4 than before, boat cruise faster and Im not always looking at gaz station!
