Any suggestions on how to remove the gas tank? It's 50" long x 13" deep. So far the only way I can see is to cut the floor. Thanks in advance.

Drain the fuel, fill with water, cut it pieces, the issue would be replacement size.

Filling it with water will add hundreds of pounds of weight. People who do this for a living use an inert gas like Nitrogen to eliminate the explosion hazard which is pretty high if you are not careful. It does look like the floor will need to be removed. There is likely some rot to be addressed when you get things opened up.

Yeah the rot is the main reason I'm pulling the tank. Not looking to destroy the tank just yet as it's not leaking.

We had the water tank fail on our 28 footer. in very tight area. I cut it up to remove it. If you need to replace fuel tank (Know you said it is not leaking) you could do as I did got two plastic water tanks made and joined then together. individually they slid in easily. You need to figure out cost to cut boat and repair versed buy and install two small fuel tanks.

From what I can see, I would look at where your stringers line up with the top deck. Make your cuts close but outside of them so vertical braces can be added under the deck repair.

For reference, I added some deck supports after replacing the stringers. Didn't have to cut the deck but it is solid now.
