Gas Guage

The gas guage in my 74 srv220 does'nt work.I'm no electrician but handy if anyone has some tips on where to start.Thanks,Mike

Try grounding the sending unit and see what the gauge does.

Also, there's quite a few threads on this. If you do a search, you'll probably find your answer.

We were talking about this a couple days ago. Mine didnt work because it was rusted and stuck. I sprayed it with wd-40 to get it to loosen up and now it works fine.

After reading my post I didnt specify what i sprayed with wd-40. I had to pull the sending unit out of the tank. Just a few screws around a bolt circle. sprayed the float lever at the top and worked it loose. Pretty simple job didnt take but about 15 min. hope this helps.
