New to boating, have a 330. Last two times at anchor we could smell gas fumes. Back in the slip we did not smell the fumes. Tanks were only half full. Should I have it checked for leaks or is this normal and due to the fuel sloshing around from the movement at anchor?

Not normal. I never smell gas fumes at any level of fuel inside or outside the boat.

Something is seriously wrong.

If you can smell gasoline an explosion risk exists.

DO NOT, do anything (turn on electricity, run engines, smoke, go on board) with this boat until this is fixed.

Thanks for the confirmation. Just sent the dealer a request to get it checked out. Thanks again.

Check your fuel filters to make sure they are not leaking. Fuel lines, hose clamps.

I say do nothing so we have something to talk about later.

No !!!!!
Get it checked out and do what Henry posted. :smt001

Check your fuel line to the generator where it attaches to the filter. Someone may have stepped on it and cracked the housing.

My bet is that you're smelling gas more on the side of the boat where the fuel tank vents are located.

When starting out, fuel tanks are in a relatively cold engine room. By the time you get to your anchorage, the engines are nice and warm and so is the ER. You shut them down along with the blowers. The warm ER heats up the fuel in the tank - fuel then expands and vapours escape out of the tank via the vents.
