Anybody know where I can get a power Power cable for Garmin 741 XS? The Pin for "Power" is bad. I did a Google search and found nothing.

Did you try checking Garmin's website (or calling them) directly?

Edit: Did you search using your part number? I just did a quick Google search and it returned all kinds of results.

Use some dialectric grease!

After cleaning what you can see with the naked eye, use a small amount of some baking powder mixed with distilled water then wipe that away the best you can with some Q-tips and then a short blast of some brake clean followed by some dry compressed air in a can.
Now you are ready for a little dielectric grease. Corrosion is a cancer!
If you don't get it all it WILL come back.

Good plan.

Do you ever have a problem with your Garmin where power is on for that circuit but the power button will not turn on the unit?? I have a 741 and I have the power through a rocker switch on the dash. If I turn on the rocker and wait longer than a second or two before hitting the power button, it may not always start up. I have repeatedly checked both power and grounds and they are good. I susequently remembered that my old 545 did the exact same thing on a different boat altogether.

I have a similar setup and do not have to hit the power button on the Garmin, the dash switch starts it up. Might check setting for a start with power option.

One issue I did have is I had to shut it down with the unit power button or I would lose the fuel used from the fuel flow if I used the helm power button instead.
