Garmin 740s Heading / Orientation Q

I just picked up a used 740s. It is connecting to satellites, however changing map orientation doesn't change the boat icon direction on the screen.

North Up
Track Up
Course Up

All of these settings do not change position on the map. What am I missing in the settings?

Not sure if this is the reason, but the boat need to be moving for the orientation to change

If you're noticing this while at the dock, Michael is correct: a GPS plotter needs movement to determine heading if there's not an external compass attached.

Thanks guys. Took a ride and everything is working. My other GPS’s would work at the dock, that’s what threw me.
