I just added a new Garmin 536 Chartplotter and also purchased the Vision Inland Lakes software maps for the Northeast to the boat. Works great, BUT I can't seem to get ANY of the channel markers to show up on either the base mapware, or the upgraded Vision software I purchased.

Yesterday, before leaving the lake ( Smith Mountain Lake, VA) for home, I spent an hour trying every possible setting, without luck. I've zoomed in, zoomed out, set the detail shown to maximum. I went in to "Navigation Chart Settings" and looked at every possible setting. The owners manual shows navigation aids, including bouys, bells, markers, etc but when in actual use ( at least at Smith Mountain Lake) I get no navigation aids. It does show marinas, restaurants, etc....... Just not the important stuff. Has anyone else using Inland Lake software experienced the same thing?

It will show just about everything else imaginable, EXCEPT the Channel Markers. Which was a big reason I added this for night use, etc.

I spoke with a Garmin tech today who had to have one of the Northeast Inland Lakes Vision data cards made up so she could look it up and was to email me with a reply. I haven't heard back from them. If anyone has that data card and could look up SML VA in Southwest VA to see if you see channel markers and nav aids shown I would greatly appreciate hearing from you.

thanks,

A dock neighbor had a similar issue with his. He took out the card and reinserted it and all the info showed up. Maybe the card is not inserted properly? Just a guess.

Thanks..... I already tried that and had no affect. I seem to be getting the other benefits of the Vision data card, but even the basic pre loaded software should show the navigation aids ( channel Markers) or so you would think.

I'm reposting my earlier question about not seeing the channel markers showing up on the G2 Vision Inland Lakes Northeast software. Even the base software doesn't have the channel markers. Seems like most all other details, etc are there, but you would think navigational channel markers would certainly be there.

Any one else found a fix?

thanks,
