So last season I bought 2 eez-in Garelick chairs because they were very popular light weight foldable chair around the marina . Both chairs failed within the first month . Got a hold of Garelick chair Co. and with the number off the back they sent me the first one. When the second one failed called them and they said they were back ordered till August.August came and went so I gave sent them a E mail and their reply was their China source had delays and they were expecting them in November. So the cheap crap Garelick chairs from China aren't lasting a month. So whats a good easy to store that is not a chair you put in a bag?

I have already had one repaired the second one the material tore out.The point is a once quality made chair has been cheapen up so much that they will not last and go figure they are sold in Walmart stores. It's a good idea any more that if Wally Mart sells it your better off buying something else.So way to go Garelick Chair Co. you've cheapened your product to be sold by Walmart and now it's worthless.

They’ll keep replacing them as long as you save the serial number tag on the bottom. Too bad they’re backordered - that’s frustrating. And no, they can’t be sewed. The frame doesn’t come apart to remove the fabric. Also, if you keep them
for an entire season, the blue fades drastically and the red piping turns pink.

I finally got tired of the exchange game with these, so I bought two chairs from Marine Teak Tables - a sponsor here at CSR. These chairs are very high quality, look great, and really dress up the cockpit a notch. Now, they aren’t cheap - about the price of 4 of the other chairs a piece. I guess the saying is you get what you pay for. There’s a pic below, but as is the new standard benefit here at CSR - I can’t rotate it.

We have a pair of Kettler Caribbic 16 way adjustable resin chairs in the aft cockpit. Just replaced them because one of the slats broke after 15 years. We have the original cocktail table that matches the chairs and it is still going strong. These chairs fold flat although we never do that. They are heavy and do not move around when the boat is being run in heavy seas. They are easy to clean. And, they are very comfortable. They look great on the boat. Again, another example of you get what you pay for. At 159 dollars each, they cost a little more than other chairs but this works out to about 10 dollars a year per chair.

I have 2 mesh/aluminum chairs made by "LaFume". They are both 8-10 years old and are the most comfortable deck chairs I have ever sat in. I believe the are made in France and replacement parts can be had even though I've never needed any.

If i know the story correctly Brunswick bought Garelick a few years back.....

How things change once you find out that they really don't stand behind their product because over the years they have cheapen it and it's not worth the money. When they replaced the first one I though all right this is cool but then the second failed a couple weeks later. We all had a good laugh about maybe I should lose some weight. Then a buddy of mine bought two this spring and one of his failed.
