fuel tank transfering fuel unintentionally

I own a Searay 310 sundancer 1998, with twin diesel, and twin fuel tanks.
One of the engines is being repaired so I sailed with one engine.
Strangely fuel from the tank of the engine under repair is flowing into the running engin tank and the gauge shows steady increase in that tank.
Im confused , need help.

Somehow your return fuel from the running engine is feeding back to the opposite tank. Follow the return fuel hoses and it must be passing thru a fuel cross over valve.
