Has anyone accidently spilled Stabil on the outside of the boat while winterizing? It has left a yellow stain and I'm inquiring on what to do to get the stain out. Thanks.

IMG_4230.JPG Yes. Do it about every year. Just wipe it up with a paper towel. Somehow it disappears when you detail the boat in the spring. Don't worry about it.

Thanks. I was worried I would have to try and paint over the spill.

IMG_4230.JPG You can minimize the drips by using the right sized funnel. I keep a paper shop rag handy when pouring Stabil into the funnel. Before removing the funnel from the gas fill, I twist some paper towel to the right sized dimension and shove it into the funnel until it comes out the other end. The drips get absorbed and you has less spillage. I then wipe down the funnel with more clean paper towel so you minimize stains when the funnel gets put away. Still you get some splashes. Most stubborn gel coat stains are easily removed with a little muriatic acid, or kerosene or even a little gas on a paper towel. Just be careful with disposal. I don't remember having to use acid on Stabil stains

I have so much wax on the hull nothing sticks. Gas spill or stabilizer just rolls off.

I have just used some spray 9 in the past for anything that I spill.
