We have a new to us 2009 55 Sun dancer. Both fuel gauges have went to the full mark and are not working. Checked connections everywhere, All good. The sender pucks on the tanks look fine. I can't find a fuse anywhere in the system. I'm thinking it would be really strange for both of them to fail at the same time. Any Suggestions?

Mine also are erratic. I was told by Sea Ray the company that made the pucks are no longer in biz making the devices. My Sea ray Dealer wants to install mechanical devices. I now keep an accurate log.

Its pretty typical especially with large fuel tanks. The senders on our Sabre are junk. I've given up even using them and work off consumption data the engine computers generates based on injection pulses and RPM. Its actually pretty accurate. I did the same thing with Smartcraft on our 280.

The American standard for fuel gauges is 33.5 ohms for Full and 240 ohms for Empty. If both of your fuel gauges are reading Full most likely there is a short to ground somewhere in your system so the gauges are seeing 0 ohms. A reading of 0 ohms would drive the gauge needles to Full.
