Fuel gauge

Hey All

On my 220DA when I'm on the go or even if there are a few people on the back my fuel gauge will read full or slightly less depending how much fuel is in the tank. I understand completely why this happens. My question is, is there a stabalizer or float or some device that I can install so I can get an fairly accurate reading under all conditions (while cruising at 3000rpm in particular).
Sorry for my ignorance.

Cheers and thanks

Dan

This is something I'm going to look into over the winter. I just took on 28 gals and I was reading 1/4 tank at idle speed and it would read 3/4 while running on plane (3000 rpm)

I have a 58 gal tank as I'm sure you do also.

I always fill up when the gauge reads 1/4.

Ya I fill up at a 1/4 as well. This is the first year with the boat and I find myself stopping here and there to get a read as I'm still not sure of consumption under different variables (really don't want to be stuck out in the middle of the bay on empty). Let me know H2ONUT if you find anything it would really put my mind at ease knowing what is really in the tank.
