I would like to fit a fuel flow meter to my boat and have searched the net for any clues on the "good or bad". There isn't much info out there that is convincing. Is there anyone out there that has fitted a gauge and is happy or disappointed or ones to steer clear of? BOE has a few listed and the Lowrance LMF-200 looks good?. Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated.

If you have a compatible Harmon GPS I would suggest thirteen. We put in the Harmon fuel flow Meyer a while back and love it. Was easy to install as well.

Have you considered Floscan? I've got this system - it works very well and is very accurate. Two main components - the gauge and the sender, the latter is an encased mechanical paddlewheel. Connect them with a couple of wires and a switch to reset the totalizer and you're good to go. I replaced both gauges and both senders in mine and it was very simple

Sometimes I wish I didn't have it. Ignorance is bliss...

Series 5500

They also have very good phone tech support to guide you with installation. It's pretty much one guy (Craig) who can walk you through it.

Thank you for the suggestions. I will look into the Floscan option as I don't have Harmon system. I use an Ipad with Navionics app for nav.... I wish apple would bring out a fuel flow meter app! LOL.
