Fuel consumption

Hi all. Anyone know how much fuel a late 80's 300 Weekender with twin 260 hp direct drive inboards will use, and what the best cruising rpm is.

i have a 89 with 454's.. i am burning 25 ish an hr.. that is at 3000 rpms 30 mph on gps.. i would think you would be burning 20ish with a slower cruise speed prob.. 25 mph.. there is a 30 three boats down with 350's i can ask him what rpms he is running.. but i think it is 4000..
