Fuel Burn on 04/05 390 Sundancer with 8.1s

The 375hp engine spins at 4600 rpm and produces 490 ft lbs of torque at 3800 rpm. The 420hp engine spins at 5000 rpm and produces 505 ft lbs of torque at 4000 rpm.

Wow, so what are you trying to point out????

we were slightly more than half way home (96miles)more than 3/4 of fuel in each tank, 3 guys, loaded up boat with a bunch of food, alcohol, clothing, extra gear, about 65 gallons of water and still averaged .67 miles per gallon, cruising @25-26mph @3600rpms.. thats pretty dam efficient for a 22k+ pound boat burning gas, the boat has seen higher at slightly slower speeds and less equipment

Yup, just like mine!

I ran at 22mph at 3300 rpm which was very comfortable until I put vessel view mobile in and found if I moved up to 3600rpm the burn got much better. .6 to near .7+. I wish VV would give another decimal. Sent them to emails on that request.

for an extra 4gph (44gph total) i run 3800 rpms at 28mph, @ 50gph 4100rpms 31mph, @60GPH (4950rpms) 37.8 mph against a 3+ mph current

I begged Garmin to do the same with my GFS-10's displaying on my 5212. I sent several feature requests and even posted the link to feature requests here and on other forums to no avail. When I upgraded to the 8212, the first firmware upgrade I installed gave me the additional decimal place. I was very happy!
