What is a Mercury Smartcraft 6-way Junction Box? I have a new to me 1999 330 w/ 2007 6.2 Horizons and am looking to upgrade the dash to smartcraft.
 
The junction box is needed to split the cable coming from the engine to go to different Smartcraft displays. In my case I have a 4-way jbox and single engine. The cable from the engine goes to the jbox. From there I send another cable to the 4-way tach with LCD Smartcraft display and another cable to my Northstar GPS, which also displays Smartcraft data. The 4th port on the jbox is empty.

A number of us have done this conversion/upgrade (myself included). There is a lot to cover, and this forum / thread is not the best place to start the discussion. If you want to start a thread in another forum ('Upgrades' maybe?), I'm sure you will find a bunch of people willing to help.

Hmmm I wonder what my 240SD has on it and if this is something I would need. I'd really like to get my Depth and Water Temp from the smartcraft into my Garmin GPS but have yet to figure that out :(

Smartcraft can only be interfaced to Navman and Northstar equipment.
