Front Windshield

Have them get you a copy of the title or registration and take some pictures of the boat from all sides and the the interior.

If you do go back to the boat..... take a picture of the haul number..

It might be easier to assimilate.

Might check the registration year sticker and/or any old registration paperwork.

Should have all the numbers you need. Good luck.

The middle 4 digits are nothing more than a sequential production number assigned by the factory and have no meaning outside of the Sea Ray system and factory. A bunch of us own or have owned 390EC's. If we had photos, this would be an easy question to answer.

The 390EC has the transom door on the stbd side; both the 340EC and 340DA have the transom door on the port side; the 460EC is a huge boat and its distinguishing features, other than the beam, are a step up in the mid cockpit and a radar arch sloping forward, not backward like the 340's and the 390.

Dennis: Do you have any way to look up the complete HIN # to determine model. Guessing it is SERF7501H687 ?

I'll bet its a 1981 360. It has a 3 pc windshield. So maybe the last digit IS a 1 not a 7

Hi Frank,

Yes, I do. In fact, that was what I tried - and tried different variations - but kept getting the "no results" result. I'm thinking there might still be a digit or two wrong somewhere... or my program is being "difficult". Just tried it again... same "no results".

I could also try with an engine serial number.

Hi guys, mystery solved. I was up to the boat and met the PO son there this afternoon. The boat is a 390EC, and is a 1987. Approx 6 years ago, the roof of the marina where his father kept the boat collapsed down upon all the boats below during a bad windstorm. Quite a few sunk, his did not, but the entire windshield, arch, canvass and frame work was totalled. Top deck took some damage also. His father owned a body shop which son now operates. After settling with insurance, he bought a three pc windshield from a totaled boat there, and between some of his men and himself, installed same after retrofitting the glass deck recess. It all looks very good. And that is the correct HIN number. As this is a public forum, don’t want to dwell too much on this. Going to Midland tomorrow to look at another 390 EC. Thank you very much everyone, I learned a lot through this thread. Be assured I will be back when I get an EC390 in the coming year.

George
