I have a 99 340 DA - the Norcold Fridge is shot. Looking to purchase the Nova Kool 5810 or 5812. Has anyone done this? If so please comment. Where did you purchase it from? It looks like it's readily available in Canada...did you ship it from there.

Can you let me know what distributor you used?

Happy Holidays!

Steve

Thank you! Any idea where to buy the Nova Kook unit? I got some crazy prices...$1500 plus $200 for shipping.

Do anyone know where you can buy a Nova Kool 5810 or 5812???

Try backwoodssolar.com, I believe they honor general contractor discounts also if you are one

Cstep 75 Did you end up replacing your fridge? I bought the Nova Kool 5812 and it's not fitting all the way in to the compartment curious if you had the same problem?

Creekwood. Thank you very much. EXACTLY what I needed. Will try over the weekend!

I'm trying to click the link in the post above but it's directing me to clubsearay.com, not the thread in question. I also tried searching for "Hull question about a 1996 330 Sundancer" with no luck to finding that thread. Any suggestions? Looks like site has been overhauled?

Thanks!

Do the links above in this thread work for anyone else?

Thanks!

So, I'm trying to gain access the links above with no luck. Tried e-mailing administrators with no response. I also tried messaging stevediarchangel with no response either.

I would like to install the NovaKool 5810 in my Sea Ray 370 express cruiser. I'm replacing a NoCold DE540. The cutout dimensions are almost the same. The will have to cut about another 3/4" in height, width is perfect. And depth, I'll be about 1 inches short. I think the link referring to the hull question has the answers I'm looking for. It might help resolve the depth issues for this fridge.

If anyone has performed this swap before with any insight it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
AJ

IMG_0943 (1).jpg Another option is Vitrifrigo 115 ,has an optional flange for direct replacement ( no cutting) paid around 1100,including the flange kit which is drop shipped from Vitfrigo. Its super quiet ,uses less than 4 amps . I didn't want to deal with the cabin door removal for the "Nevercold ",so I cut it in half with a sawzall (WEAR GLOVES) sharp edges! The new unit clears the the door way no problem . http://www.vitrifrigo.com/ww/en/c115i-c115ia-internal-cooling-unit

That looks great. If I was replacing mine I'd have a tough time deciding. The Vitrifigo appears much easier to install but, the Novakool is 5.8 cu/ft compared to approx 4.0 cu/ft for the Vitrifrigo. Both good choices though...

Where did you purchase your Vitrifrigo and flange?

Thanks!
