When winterizing the fresh water tanks on a 320, how do you ensure all (or most) of the water is out of the tank before adding antifreeze. I pressurized my system and opened each faucet/spigot one at a time untill nothing but air came out. I added three gallons of antifreeze, repressurized and to my surprise most of what came out was water. What did I do wrong?
Thanks
Rich

You probably still had water in the lines when the pump lost prime. I'm not sure how big your fresh water holding tank is but i can tell you on my 260 the tank needed six gallons of pink to fill the water heater and then make it to the actuall faucets.

Did you bypass the hot water heater. If not it all went into your hot water heater.

No, I didn't bypass the hot water heater but I did drain the heater. I could understand why I didn't have enough antifreeze trying to fill the fresh water tank and refill the heater . But what I don't understand is why when I tried to get antifreeze thru the lines I got water -- where did it come from? Did I miss something when I tried to drain the system?
Thanks for the responses
Rich

Because there was water left in the lines when you lost prime. When you started to put antifreeze in, the pump re-primed thus pushing the rest on the water out of the lines. It then lost prime again because you didn't have enough antifreeze.

Also did you pump antifreeze in to your dockside water connection. There could be water in there too if you didn't push it through there
