was at my boat yesterday and was using the sink and was out of fresh water.i could tell because it was spitting air and water.
refilled the tank then the pump would not work.checked the circut and everything seemed to have power.
what gives?

Your system probably needs to be bled because you ran it dry and now have an air lock. Try opening a hot water faucet in the head or the galley and then turn the pump on again. Let it run for a minute or so to see if water will come out. If that doesn't work, here is something else you might try. My 240 Sun Deck was notorious for air locking if the tank was dry and their was only one way I could get it to work again. I removed one of the sprayer heads, turned on the faucet and pump and I siphoned (or sucked) on the hose. That vacuum was enough to draw water past the pump and break the air lock. You may be able to do something like that by removing the sprayer head from the faucet in your bathroom if the "simple" method doesn't work. Once you get the water to run, open every other faucet one by one as well until water runs thru each.

If Dave's suggestion does not work, check the following:

* Are you getting 12v at the pump?
* Can you hear the pump running?
* Can you check the pump hoses?
* To check for a leak, is the tank still full?

thanks for the tip dave
i will try the small wet vac that i have.
who knows what was left in the tank over the winter :smt101

If this is right after winterization (spring commission), I would check for a lose hose. In my previous boat, I would disconnect the inlet to the pump to feed it pink stuff. Maybe it's lose or disconnected.
