Does anyone know the GPM on the fresh water pump on a 2004 340 Sundancer? Or around those years? Since I had the boat I was never happy with the water pressure. I cleaned all the filters , checked all the heads and still the same. I was thinking of replacing the pump, say for this one. I can take a run in the boat in a couple days , but was just wondering now if this was an upgrade or what would be. Thanks

On the 2003 340s Sea Ray installed the Shurflo 2.8GPM pumps. The 5.0GPM you select would be an improvement. But, keep in mind you'll be running out of water sooner too!

My 310 has a factory installed Shurflo 3.3GPM... I have plenty of water pressure everywhere.

How is your pressure when connected to city water? If it is the same then that eliminates the pump as an issue.

I have a 3.3 and upgraded both to 4.0. Lots better in my opinion.

My 360 has a 3.3gpm pump. I had the same issue. I cleaned all screens and filters with marginal improvement. I removed the main cold water supply line going into the distribution manifold and checked the volume. It was much stronger than at the faucets. I then checked the output side and discovered the manifold was plugged with years of hard water deposits. After soaking the manifold in vinegar for about 4 days, I remounted and checked. Voila’ problem solved. I do wonder about all of the water lines on the boat. Maybe showing my plumbers crack will be a future project.

With city water it is the same. The galley sink has good pressure so does the outside sink. The head shower and transom shower doesn't Maybe the pressure pushing through the spray head isn't enough.. Just weird how those 2 are bad, but the other NON restricted are good.

What PSI is the stock pump.

Most shower heads have fine screens in them to keep debris from clogging the little holes in the shower head plus a lot of them have water restrictors also.

Check eBay. I replaced my 3.3 with a 4.0 and payed about $150 for a shurflo brand name. Parts are readily available.

Bennett,
Are you happy with it? What pump did you have before? Did you notice enough of a change to spend the money? Is it quiet?
Thanks Marc

I do not have that one. I have a Rebel 5.3gpm. I just googled and found the one you were asking about.

That's a good price for the Shure Flo. I came from the 3.3 to the 4.0 and am very satisfied. I thought about the 5gpm, but was unsure of the fuse on the electric side, and didn't want to exceed what was there.

If you can locate that fuse, and can verify the amperage draw is the same or less go for the 5 gpm. If not you would likely have to replace the fuse and possibly wires...

Did you keep the Accumulator?

My 2002 310 came with a 2.8. I seem to have really good pressure although I haven't checked to see if it has been upgraded by the PO

If you have a inline water filter, change the element first before changing the pump. They sometimes look clean but get clogged to the point very little water can pass through it.
You can also buy new faucet replacement screens at HD, replace all of them. Shower heads can be soaked in CLR, after a long soak they will operate as new.

Hey John m, my 2019 310 slx fresh water pump stopped working. Where is it located on the boat?

Sorry about the spell checker. I meant JimG
