I have a 2002 310 DA with Vdrive inboard 350 Horizons FWC. It has the factory fresh water flush kits installed. How do you use these properly? They tee into the line after the raw water pump, so I am confused as to whether or not I can close the seacocks when flushing. It seems like if I close the seacocks, it will starve the impeller for water as the fresh water coming in is coming in after. If I flush with seacock open to protect the water pump impeller, then the water is brackish. Any ideas here?? Thanks in advance!!

ive heard of these. The mercruiser dealer was telling me the genuine kit you dont need to run the engine, it just flushes though...

That flush is for the motors off and seacocks closed.
Supposed to remove the blue drain plugs from bottom of manifolds and flush for 15 minutes
It would be easier to put an inline fitting before the sea strainer and run the motors off a hose.
