Have I got a deal for you! Free to the first CSR member who backs up and hooks on to it, a 1970s (I think) vintage SRV 220 with aluminum 2 axles trailer. I DO NOT HAVE A TITLE FOR THE BOAT OR THE TRAILER!

Here's the story - this boat was given to me by a friend who had a house fire. The place burned to the ground, along with the titles. He moved out of town, and was trying to get the lot cleaned up, and didn't want the boat. He had bought it as a project. I took it as a favor to him, and thinking I might possibly restore it. I've come to the conclusion that I will never have time to restore the boat. I could probably scrap the trailer for about $500 in aluminum alone, but that's not what I want to do. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THIS NOBLE OLD SEA RAY SAVED.

As to condition, it's rough. The interior is basically stripped of all upholstery. The helm and guages seem to be in decent condition. The engine will need a complete rebuild, as he didn't cover it well, and I believe it has internal water damage. The outdrive looks decent, and shows no electrolytic damage. The trailer needs the brake system completely rebuilt. The tires hold air but have dry rot. I personally would replace the tires before I towed it, or bring a flatbed trailer and put the whole kit and kaboodle on that. It comes with a mercruiser service manual - you will need it!

Here's the pics, the interior has had all of the junk cleaned out of it:

So, if any of you are up for a project, here you go - you can't argue with the price. If I don't get any serious takers, I will probably go ahead with scrapping the boat, and either scrapping or repairing the trailer and then selling it.

PM me if interested.

PM sent. I have ambitious boat-loving friends in WI who will probably want this - bad time of the year for boat retrieval missions though.

I like the hull side emblem dangling by one rivet - nice touch!!

WOW...the boat market must be turning for the better.....!!!!

Dang Kurt! Makes me mad that I didn't PM you right away...I saw this thread with 0 replies this morning but though I should check and make sure my brother would store it at his house for me....of course I didn't hear from him until 9PM. Oh well, if it falls through, I'm only an hour away in Brownsburg...and he lives between us.

Whoever got the boat, PM me. I can maybe help in moving it for you. I drive Truck (FLATBED) . Can get you a rate possibly.

Absolutely. I couldn't imagine the Horra when Fires' wife saw that pulling into his driveway.........:smt021

I know my wife better than that. It wouldn't be in my subdivision....thats what brothers are for! To store your projects in their backyard....
