Our marina accidentally damdaged our raydome when they splashed the boat, something about a tree branch knocking it off. Anyhow, they have handeled it woderfully, it was sent off for repairs, and when they saw it wasant repairable they are giving us a brand new dome and a c-80

my question is because i dont remember for sure, Did the 320 have a 4kw raydome? im an 90% sure that we had 48nm on ours so I just want to be sure that we are getting the same power in the replacement dome.

What brand did you have, and which size? I just received my new Garmin Raydome and it is 18" and 4KW. Raymarine's 18" is 2KW and they have a 24" that is 4KW.

I had a raymarine dome and an sl series plotter. I am almost positive that it was a 4kw How do you like the garmin setup barryg?

Garmin set-up on 320

since I just got the boat and was happy it didn't have much in electronics, I bought the new Garmin touch screen 5208, the XM weather module, a reverse color camera on the arch and their new 4KW 18" radar dome. It is being installed Tuesday and I'm excited about it. My last boat was a Doral and I put an E80 and 4KW Raydome on that and so I wanted to try something a little different. I'm also putting a 26" lcd TV/DVD on the bulkhead below which will be connected to the Garmin so you can see the course on the TV or see what's on the TV on the Garmin... OK, so I'm a gadget nut....

Will let you know how it all turns out...Now if I could add one last piece to the puzzle it would be the new Sea-King 15" Sat dome which is HD...maybe next year..

sounds like a slick setup. Is there any way to tell the difference by looking at a picture? I have a few pics of the old dome but the 2kw looks the same as the 4 to me.

Did you go to the Raymarine website? If the dome was 18" it was 2kw, if it was 24" it would be 4kw. You might be able to tell looking at their photos and compare with yours...

I cant really tell, is 4kw more popular than the 2kw model? Is there a way to call searay and ask what the boat left the factory with?

I don't know about more popular, but it is more powerful. If you call Sea Ray and give them you SERT (hull ID number I'm sure they can look up and tell you what came with the boat.

Good idea, let me know what happens.

I'm pretty sure the "standard" option on sport cruisers is the 2KW dome. It was on my 340 and we upgraded it to 4KW. Once you get into the sport yacht range, SR goes to the 4KW open array.
