My 2001 340 has 8.1s horizons what ECM is being used . Would like to install a Gateway system in it.

You need to look at the engines yourself and get the model and serial number as well. Fox will help you from there. It's not as easy as year and engine model.

Go on Fox's website in the FAQ and it will tell you how to loosen your ECU and get the number off it then you can pick the Gateway for you. I just finished a few weeks ago and I love it.
