Hi everyone, i just found this site through the BoatUS forum. I too was a former SRO member. It was an awesome site , but i hope this site will be just as informative, and helpful. Its nice to see some familiar user names here. I look forward to talking with all of you. I have a 1998 270 Searay sundancer, and keep it in S.E. CT. Talk to you soon. Jon

Hi Mark, ya great boats, i love mine, i keep her on a mooring in Noank, right at the mouth of the Mystic river. There are 2 more of them at the marina next to me. How about you, where do you keep yours, and where do you go with her? Jon

Thanks slack250, i think you're right, so many of the former SRO people are finding this site. I found this site through BoatUS, is it posted on other sites as well? Talk to you soon. Jon

I am in Captains Cove in Bridgeport. I have'nt made it to Mystic yet, but next year for sure!. This years trips included Statue of Liberty, Block Island (stop at Montauk), Port Jefferson, Northport. City Island.

If you are down our way, let me know.

Mark

Hi Mark, i haven't been that far west yet. I do want to go to a few long island ports next season, possibly sag harbor or greenport. We made it to Montauk and Block island last year. If you go to Montauk, Star island Yacht club is excellent. Its on the west side of Star island. We went in there on a busy July weekend, and the place was packed. The dockmaster found us a slip anyway. Nice people! Block island was nice. too. Very busy place. We went there during the week and i still couldn"t get a town mooring,(call the harbormaster and he will tell you where the moorings are) so we anchored on the north side of new harbor. ("dinghy beach"). You can also try for a slip at one of the marinas there. There are taxi's from the marinas and even the beach to take you into town. We will definately give you a shout next season! Jon
