FOR SALE: Masterfab's (Dale's) Sea Ray 340 DA

My wife placed the towel and air freshener - that's not my fault.

Placing blame on the wife is dangerous territory!! LOL

Your boat really is amazing. I'm sure it looks even better in person.

if only it were in my budget:huh:

Well, with mixed emotions I can let everyone know that Mustang was sold yesterday afternoon to a wonderful couple from Ohio. They drove out Friday night, inspected and sea trialed the boat yesterday, and bought it on the spot with a full price offer. I haven't slept well at all, and can't decide if I am happy or dreadfully depressed. I'd like to thank everyone who was so supportive of the boat - it means a lot to me. Now we just have to figure out what the next ride is going to be.

Funny..I feel sad too. When I was looking you know I wanted to come up and take a look. The wife couldn't let go of that 2003+ round back seat. I knew it would have been the boat for me. Good luck and feel better. I felt the same way when I sold my Cobra. Once you have a new toy you will forget about it.

I wanted to drive to see it too but I knew it would be gone too fast. That couple is really fortunate. Cheers to both of you.

Congrats Dale. You have a lot of time and energy in that boat, I am sure it must be hard.

Congrats on parting with it.

I was flashing it to a friend who's looking but, wasn't ready to pull the trigger on anything yet..

I looking forward to your next project, SeaRay or not.....

congrats. i wouldn't have wanted it anyway. i would have never been able to keep it that clean then would have been depressed about it:huh:

That was fast! Congrats Dale, can't wait to see what you do with a 410DA? If you get one, I will closely watch your blog so I can pick up on a few things. Plan B is in getting all new cockpit vinyl with a few custom touches. I'll be able to post some pictures in a week or so.

Alright, so what's next? You did such amazing things with the 340. Are you looking g for a project to customize, or something new and worry free?

Either way, the quick sale is a testament to the love you put into the 340.

Alas, the day of selling is not always one of the happiest days of a boater's life. Congrats Dale. You brought a boat back from the dead with what should be considered beyond a restoration, you enjoyed the hell out of her, and now you have made another boating family very happy. One door closes, and another opens. Good luck as your next search begins!

As to the next boat, the admiral has been on a few 460s, and the last one was an '03 with a hardtop. I've been informed that the hardtop is now a requirement, especially with her sensitivity to sunlight, so it looks like a hardtop 460 is next. Frank's going to be mad at me, but I don't live with him....

Great choice! We just looked at a blue hill 2005 that is available and can be had at a good price most likely since they already bought their new boat. I don't know if we will pull the trigger, too bad it's so far away.

Congrats Dale!! Best of luck on the new search!!
FWIW: I love the 2003 + Hardtop 460's as well!! Great Choice!!
