I have a Furuno FCV-581 color video sounder for sale. This is a commercial grade bottom machine perfect for you serious fishermen. Specifics are:
- 8” high resolution color CRT
- 16 color
- several background colors for day, night, cloudy, etc. conditions
- ranges from 15’ to 1500’
- has a fully automatic mode
- definition so good you can sometimes identify fish species
- multiple adjustable bottom alarms
- calibrates in feet/fathoms/meters; knots/mph; C/F degrees
- 500 watt output @ 200kHz
- accepts input from speed, temperature and depth transducers
Comes with wiring harness, manual (water stain is on cover only), mounting bracket, and sun filter and shade. Unlike most used electronics, this sounder is corrosion free and looks almost like new. Has never been anywhere but on my boat.
This machine worked perfectly when we removed it. We had a plotter fail and replaced it with a new mulit-function touch screen plotter with a built in bottom sounder. This machine is more accurate than the new Raymarine, but we are out of panel space and we don’t fish so we didn’t need the accuracy.
Unfortunately, we destroyed the transducer when we tried to remove it from the hull (thanks Mr. 5200!), so you will need to buy a new one. Airmar makes a bronze housing transducer with a high speed fairing block for about $200 (B-45-DT-8) or a plastic housing transom mount one for $130 (P-66).
Asking $300; pick up in Middle Tennessee or Panama City FL; or I’ll ship it to you for the actual cost of UPS. For more information, PM me an email address or a daytime phone number.
