Rod,
I used to like you before you divulged that you are a fan of the dastardly Eagles!!! LOL Maybe Vick could warm up by torturing a few more dogs then killing them by hand before a cold weather game? Just a thought......It was very nice of Obama to single Vick out as a great person now that he has turned his life around. They are both POS's!!

OMG.. Another candidate for the holding tank.:smt043:smt043

Did he get a dog for his daughters?

My daughters miss having one, and that's the hardest thing: Telling them that we can't have one because of my actions.” -- Michael Vick

Maybe he can find some nice roosters for them. If they lose you can still have them for dinner. (The roosters I mean.):wow::wow:

Can't help that I was born near Philly, and they only have one team to root for... I remember when Vick played for Atlanta, he could not win games when the temp dropped below 40 degrees... If the Eagles manage to win on Sunday, they will have to go to Chicago, where it is guaranteed be be cold... I think the Eagles will be the under dogs

I believe Obama called Andy Reid, not Vick... Obama has Philly to thank for swinging Pa his way during the '08 election. Even the convicts and the dead voted for him in Philly... :smt043

Sorry guys, I don't want to get this dumped into the holding tank. I was just commenting on something I heard on WFAN sports radio. They said that the Prez stopped by to visit Andy Reid and the Eagles. When the media came around Mr. president singled out Vick as a fine example of someone given a second chance and completely turning his life around.
There must be better examples of this around the country, no? I will say that Vick does look good and can really toss the rock but, can we let a little more time pass before we annoint him sainthood? Maybe that's just my bias sneeking in...... anyway ARE U READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL???
I love the playoffs, even when my team is not in it. Wild card and divisional weekends are my favorites. Should be a couple of good games this weekend. Sorry Todd , but I don't think the Seahawks will be one of them. I think the Saints are gonna do some "Marching" over your boys. Enjoy the games folks!!!

If the Jets make it to Foxboro, a local radio station plans on passing out foam feet instead of foam fingers.

How about those Stanford Cardinal? What a beat down they gave VA Tech! :smt021:smt021:smt021

I did not know that Stanford had a Football team... I thought they did not permit bullying at Stanford... :smt043

Maybe if a certain someone got his head out of a certain some place and got rid of a certain QB FOREVER, my Beloved Vikings may have a chance next year!

Haven't you heard? Brett's retiring after this year.

The PAC-10 is looking pretty good so far in bowl games. Too bad they are adding Utah instead of Boise.

I'm not really a "Duck" fan, but since they are PAC-10 & PNW I'm hoping they win too.

LA,

Let’s not be too hard on the old guy. You can’t let your QB go to the mat as many time as the front line did and expect him to not be hurt or gun shy. How bout those dropped or bobbled passes? I’m no Favre fan but where’s his help? Maybe Frazier can pull this the team back together.

Except for the last 10 second fiasco, Webb did a solid job in Favre’s stead.

New Roof
New coach
New QB
New season

We’ll see. Hope they do better but not too much.

I have never been and never will be a Favre's fan. Wisconsin got rid of him for a reason. He needs to use his skills as a coach not a player. HE IS OLD AND WORE OUT and a bit of a DIVA!

I am more displeased with Zygi then anyone. I do believe the dome just needs a new roof and some updates and upgrades. I dont believe we need a need football venue. Dont get me wrong I love the MN Vikings. I am a HUGE FAN!

I agree Webb has some potential. I dont think we need a new coach I think Frazier should be left where he is!

That is just my unexpert opinion.

They took the interm off his title today. He's now the man. Zygi lost sight of the team. Maybe this is a wake up call.

Evidently they do! Did you see how they were pounding the QB last night? If that's not bullying I don't know what is. They saw a weakness and pounded it every play in the 2nd half! Those Stanford boys do fill out their uniforms this year i have to say. Who would think they would turn into a bruising football team?

I have to disagree with you on a couple of fronts. I have appreciated having Farve on our squad. He brought 18 years of experience and got us within a 12 men in the huddle penalty of getting to the super bowl.

This year was a complete train wreck- not all of Farve's fault. I blame Zygi for allowing Childress to run off on a power hungry tirade. He should have been kicked to the curb when his "Chosen One" T-Jack turned out to be an overmatched stiff. The Rice holdout, Harvin's headaches, and a beat up offensive line all added to the pathetic season. The win over the Eagles may have given Frazier the job but it also cost us several draft spots.

The Dome has to go. My family has been season ticket holders since the inception of the franchise. When you compare the dome to the Excel Center, Target Field, and TCF Bank Stadium you have to shake your head in disbelief. The fan experience is horrible in the dome. When I attend games I am just thankful to make it to my seat because the concourses are dangerously over crowded due to poor design and a lack of room for concessions. I do believe that we need a covered stadium- not an open air field. I don't want to hear about how football is meant to be played outdoors. I agree with that, but I also want to see some of the best athletes in the world compete and perform to the absolute best of their abilities. When you play outside in sub freezing temps and or snow/ ice you dumb down the game and it is no longer about skill and talent but surviving the elements. That's also why they don't play the super bowl in the outdoors in cold weather climate.

And finally I know that we have a huge budget crisis and our new Govenor Mr. "Tax the Rich Even Though I have Never Worked a Day in MY Life" Dayton is in favor of a new stadium we can and should find a way to get it done.

There are many in this state that are torn in their views as we are, even in my own family. My family too have been season ticket holders for many years. It is what it is, you and I and other we can have our views and our opinions but we are not making the decisions. I dont enjoy attending sporting events at a professional level outdoors. Never have, never will. I was cheering when the Met Stadium went down. The only thing that was good for was a summer night concert, providing it didnt rain. I have always enjoyed the dome. Different Folks thing. The one thing we can agree on is we are Vikings Fans.
