Wife went to Publix today, store opened @8 am, she was there @ 7;45 and was # 21 inline. She got to the meat department, no chicken or pork, got two packages of hamburger and two packages of fillets. When she got to register they told her only one package of each kind of meats...The lady let her go but damn.... BTW she went to paper isle first and got last big package of TP. Have any of you guys experienced this yet? Sh#@ is getting real my friends.... Be safe out there. Lance

Local paper goods shelves have been empty for weeks. Had to get some TP from Amazon.

Yes. Anything available is limited to what they let you buy. I have an workplace of 25 people. It's impossible to by anything for that many when you can only buy one offs. It sucks.

I'm beginning to think we have food supply chain issue.

Here recently, everyone has been buying 3-4 weeks worth of food items and 3-4 months of paper products. It doesn't work when everyone has been buying 1-2 weeks worth before now.

It'll take time to get the items from the DCs to the stores... but it'll keep being an issue if people keep clearing the shelves as soon as their restocked. I'm figuring eventually everyone will run out of money or space to keep it all....

There is no supply issue here. This is a demand issue and has been well debated. It will be remedied shortly. Our stores have everything you need although they are limiting purchases.

At local grocery stores here, limit 2 meat total 2 weeks ago... went to 7 or 8 stores to find chicken breast with bones, another store to find good boneless/skinless chicken breast (hate the prepackaged frozen type)

TP is non existent around here, finally found some cheap stuff at dollar general. Limit 3, they were 6 rolls that were barely anything, we normally buy the 4xmega cottenelle type... luckily I bought these for my daughter

In NY it has been like that for least two weeks.
Only one roll of toilet paper per customer.

In SE Michigan, we have been to Meijer once and Costco once in the past week. Meijer was well stocked with most items less paper products and sanitary wipes. Costco appeared fully stocked for the most part. Paper products were readily available. We'll be good now for a month or so. I can imagine supply might be an issue with a house full of children to feed. Doesn't surprise me there's an issue in Florida. We found stores over shopped where we had a place in central Florida in normal times.

Store shelves are well stocked around here. The only item we haven’t been able to get is Paper Towels.
Bottled water is available, but the stacks seems smaller than usual.
Meat, fish, poultry, dairy, produce, bread, baked goods and other grocery items are fully stocked.
Plenty of take out options from all the local pizzerias and all kinds of other restaurants too.

The wave of buying hit here about 2 weeks ago in Northern Illinois. It was a bit crazy for a while as people slowly realized what was going on with the virus, but everyone was respectful. Most places are in good shape now except for toilet paper, Clorox spray, and hand sanitizer. Pasta and other shelf stable foods get cleared out during the day but are restocked at night. The panic buying is over, with some minor exceptions.

What you really see is the effective supply chains of some stores and ineffective supply chains of others.

Something to keep in mind is that everything related to food production is still moving. Cows are still making milk, chickens are still laying eggs. Corn is still being bought and sold, and all of those industries are deemed essential so everything is still flowing.

You probably all ready have enough in your kitchen to last you a couple weeks. Hoarding leads to hoarding because if the shelves are bare people feel like they have to protect themselves.

Plenty of TP on the shelves in a local supermarket around here. Off brand stuff, 4 rolls to a pack for .99 with a 5 pack limit per customer.

No shortages and no limits in northern suburbs outside Chicago.

    No lines.

People in the Midwest are a civilized breed.

Im originally from Miyami. Not many folks down there are from Florida...much less America.

It’s no bueno in SouFla hermano.
