There are those that get "opportunity", those that will "get it" later on, and those that never will.
Some people are advantaged to have parents or mentors early in life to help them understand what guts, sacrifice, risk, education, and a little luck can get you from this world. Others have to learn these things on their own.
And some are happy to never understand.
