Follow the Turtle Home

What does a raw bar mean? Do they cook the food there? jk

Raw bars are all over the southeast and mid-atlantic... think of it as a "redneck sushi bar"... raw oysters... fish... etc... In fact, I argued with them as I just wanted my tuna seared and not cooked... nothing better than fresh tuna off the boat... raw...

We all went to the restroom one-at-a-time... but really just snuck out the front door until he was the only one sitting at the table.

You have to watch that Four Suns...he is a sneaky SOB and now he's teaching Turtle his tricks. Those guys are all outside laughing and I am stuck with a $200 tab for some raw fish.

Hahaha, we read this last night and laughed some more.

You'll be telling these stories when you're 90...and STILL laughing.

You've had a great trip, it wasn't near as bad as you first imagined, met up with some great people (like me and GW and Dom, of course), make some long lasting memories and just had a blast.

Get it on back to the house and we'll see you in AC in July.

Hey Mike... given the weather and all... here's a picture of manasquan inlet I found:

Mike, Glad you made it home. I hope you come back down here when the weather gets better...

Mike, welcome home! Boy those last 20miles were something that you'll remember for the rest of your life. I guess the only good part is that this was in familiar waters near home.

Man, you got to love the boat that allows you to do this "Kicked on autopilot and sat back. After not seeing anything for hours, boredom sets in, so I took a shower, vacuumed, cooked (we did keep an eye out)." See you in AC.

Glad you made it home! Good videos.

How many total miles? What was your total fuel bill?

Doug

I'll do a summary of the trip with numbers. I've got a bunch of videos that we took with our camera that i'll edit together too. I just need to catch up on some work.

in total, we did about 1400 miles. we put a whole seasons worth of boating in one week, about 125 hours. I have to do my end of year maint and the "season" is just beginning. oil, filters, zincs, fix a list of little things that i found or that broke along the way.

Sounds great! You really hustled it man. I can't believe you covered that much ground in a week. You must be exhausted.

Doug

Mike

Glad you made it home safe and sound.

Since you gave up shaving, your probably going to look just like your avatar when your credit card bill arrives.

I got up this morning and the room was rocking.

Mike: Welcome back to the North. You ready to do this every year when you retire? Become a nautical snowbird?

Get off the boat :smt043

I'm sure you'll have the feeling for the next few days, specially after the last 20miles fun ride . Can't wait for your final batch of pics and clips. Great job on delivery, Mike.
