Well guys, it's time to head north. We are leaving Sat morning from Fort Lauderdale cruising up the ICW all the way to Norfolk VA. At that point we will take the outside up to NJ, then to NY, then to CT. Roughly 1400 miles in total.
We've spent 3 months (every couple of weeks) in FL getting the boat ready for the trip and equipping her with all of the (hopefully) spares and tools we'll need. Trying to learn as much about her systems as i can and spending time learning how she handles etc... I've been spending most of my time mapping out the route and gathering information for the trip.
here's the google maps route on the inside.

I have no idea how long we are going to take as a lot depends on weather, mechanical, construction, shoaling, and just plain enjoying. We gave ourselves 10 straight days of cruising and at that point we'll see where we are. Stressing on getting her home in a fixed time was just an impossible task, so we decided to take it as it comes.
I'm very confident about the boat and her ability to make the trip. With the AWESOME help of some friends, I feel she's ready, willing and able. Me on the other hand... we'll see.
From mapping it out, most nights will be at marina's, but we hope to anchor out a few nights.
So follow, help, join.
Here's the blog that will have live video (if cell service is available) and posts and video. I'll also be putting up video on the CSR youtube channel that you can find to the right of the forum.

If you're lucky, you might even catch us grounding at some point.
